Charcoal
Charcoal is great fun to work with, making lots of mess and great artwork.
This picture was drawn back when I was not too good at drawing figures, but the green paper makes an interesting contrast with the black.
This is probably my first ever go at using charcoal, and as you can see its not too great!:
