Sculpture
The Dragon. This sculpture is a beautiful soapstone piece with an amazing colouration, with veins of transluscent colour running through the stone. The trick is that from one angle it is a simple dragon, yet when turned on it's side a brooding face appears from the dragons spine. | (the first picture is the unpolished version) |
Moon Man. This sculpture is unique in that the box took longer to make than the sculpture! The box is elaborately and brightly hand painted with acrylics, and the moon face sits perfectly inside. I love this!
Mouse. This large piece is a beautiful colouration, more opaque than usual soapstone.
Chinese chess. The first picture is a Work in progress shot: look at that fault! |

Skink: This little skink is quite delicate. I made him from a soft whiteish stone and used old furniture polish for an antique, mottled skin effect.
Gannesha: This ganesh is one of my favourites. The stone is stunning and the gold-leaf coated ball looks great.
